On 7 december 99 the Belgium commercial TV station (1 million viewers) heard about Scatman on the news. They mentioned also that he was an example for us stutterers. He was not only a good scatter but most of all he was an example for may stutterers all over the world!

Sorry for my English, I cannot express the way I want to express it, but I hope he will be in many heart like mine.

I'm not a stutterer, but hey, I've been known to stammer on occasion..John once said, "Everybody stutters one way or the other..." ain't that the truth! When I became friends with John I told him things I'd never told anyone else before.... Nowadays I have overcome stuttering on several levels - the first one being self-acceptance... That I should not expect much of a response from him. Also attending was Ira Zimmerman, Vanna Sivilay, Peter Nicks, Peter Lew, Ralph Kessler, Linnea Eades and all the way from Germany, ISA president Thomas Krall.

I must say he himself made me aware about people who stutter, that it's not a serious mental condition or anything. all my fear, anger, and isolation came pouring out, and John did something I never thought a "popstar" would do - he listened. a gift John gave to me, which I'm going to treasure for the rest of my life. I walked in and said hi John and he smiled back and said hi Annie. The rest of my visit was beautiful and I will never forget these last moments. Thomas called me on Thursday and expressed his desire to come.
